Flip Raises $30M in Series A Financing

Flip, a Stuttgart, Germany-based app for internal communications, raised $30m in Series A funding.

The round was co-led by Notion Capital and HV Capital with participation from existing investors Cavalry Ventures and LEA Partners, angel investors Matthias Müller, Roland Berger, Jürgen Hambrecht, Fritz Österle, Kurt Lauk, Daniel Krauss, and Jochen Engert.

The company intends to use the funds to advance staff development and recruiting, accelerate growth and move ahead with international expansion to the UK.

Founded in 2018 by Benedikt Ilg, CEO, Flip enables companies to communicate in a fast manner, keeping employees equally informed and actively engaged. The startup allows businesses to integrate their existing internal communications IT infrastructure into a single access point and increase business efficiency.

Flip now has more than 200 customers, including McDonald’s, Rossmann, Edeka, Magna, and Mahle and a team of 100 people.
