Intimately, a New York-based company adaptive lingerie brand designed for disabled women, raised $1M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Venrex and the British Fashion Council with participation from Steph Korey, Michelle Kennedy, Alexandra Fine, and Sarah Drinkwater.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, products and its business reach.
Led by Twenty-three-year-old founder Emma Butler, Intimately is a one-stop-shop for disability inclusive lingerie using magnets, loop grips, Velcro, and extra room in the straps. The brand targets a niche of adaptive intimates that is virtually white space, uses new technology and patents to create the complex garments, and mobilizes a community of disabled women to demand change in the fashion industry to include disabled shoppers.
The new collection features inclusive lingerie and sleepwear, which is developed by 23-Year-Old founder Emma Butler.
