Clean Corp Technologies, an Holyoke, MA-based company that uses electricity to decarbonize the way food is grown and is kept safe and fresh, raised $6M in Series A funding.
The round was led by ReGen Ventures, Trailhead Capital, and MassMutual Catalyst Fund. Previous investors Prime Impact Fund, Innova Memphis, Bread & Butter Ventures, and the Alchemy Fund, as well as new investors Active Impact, DC Thomson Capital, and Middleland Capital’s VTC Ventures also participated.
Dan Fitzgerald, MP at ReGen Ventures, will be joining Clean Crop’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue scaling and commercializating its core technology across the supply chain.
Led by CEO Dan White, and COO Daniel Cavanaugh, Clean Corp Tech has developed high voltage catalyst technology that can boost yields, improve food safety, and reduce food waste in a broad range of food categories, including nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables, meats, and seafoods.
