Karlsgate, a New York-based data enrichment startup, raised $4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by M12 and Motley Fool Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its HIPAA-/GDPR-/CCPA-compliant data connectivity network (DCN) solution.
Led by Brian Mullin, founder and CEO, and Vivian Zhou, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Karlsgate is a secure data collaboration company that uses an Identity Exchange and patent pending cryptoidentity technology to allow data owners across industries to share individual-level insights safely and efficiently without losing full custody of data.
Karlsgate has an ongoing partnership with LexisNexis Risk Solutions and is working with companies in healthcare, financial services, and media to secure the exchange of information and mitigate privacy risks when working with personal data.
