Coinpanion, a Vienna, Austria-based startup for easy entry into the world of crypto investments, raised €1.8m in additional seed funding bringing the total to €5.5m.
Backers included Wicklow Capital, Andreas Kupke, Moritz Thiele, Michael Pötscher, Bernhard Niesner, Gerald Resch, Johannes Braith, Michael Hurnaus, Wolfgang Reisinger, Lucanus Polagnoli, Florian Gschwandtner, Hansi Hansmann, High-Tech Gründerfonds, and the founders of credit comparison platform Finanzcheck.de.
The company intends to use the funds for growth and expansion in Europe.
Led by Alexander Valtingojer, founder and CEO, Coinpanion provides a platform that enables anyone to invest in the cryptocurrency market without having in-depth knowledge. The company accompanies the customer through the entire process: from market entry to ongoing optimization of crypto investments and automated tax reporting.
Users can choose from different smart portfolios, which revolve around innovative technologies such as NFTs, the Metaverse and cryptocurrencies. The company focuses on packages, providing automated savings plans and free tax reports in addition to the portfolios provided.
The company currently employs 33 people.
