Connectd, a London, UK-based growth network for the early-stage business ecosystem that helps startups, investors and advisors make and manage meaningful connections, raised further $1.6m in seed funding.
Backers included Rob Wilmot, TEDx Speaker and founding executive of Freeserve; Jonas Anker, CEO of Anker Capital; Business Angel, Gareth Hawkins; serial entrepreneur brothers Aleks and Dejan Subosic of Deep North; and Steve Scruton, former head of Equity Research at HSBC.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into the European market and launch two innovative new tools.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Roei Samuel, Connectd is a community network that connects entrepreneurs and startups with investors and NEDs to secure growth opportunities. The technology helps organisations and individuals find each other through a data-driven approach cutting out the middlemen in the investment cycle.
Connectd’s curation tools enable founders to create a deep set of progress reporting to ensure investors are kept up-to-date, and investors can accurately target opportunities for deals through the power of data, plus keep on top of their contracts and agreements with ConnectdLegal.
Since its launch in February 2020, Connectd has brought together more than 1,000 startups, and over 1,000 investors and business advisors fostering more than 20,000 connections in over ten countries.
The company has expanded its operation into Europe with a new office opening in Stockholm, Sweden.
