Pebble, a New York-based provider of a financial app that allows users to save, spend, and receive money, raised USD6.2M in funding.

The round was led by Y Combinator, Lightshed Ventures, Soma Capital, Eniac Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Montage Ventures, East Ventures, Cadenza Capital, The House Fund, Spice Capital, Helium-3 Ventures, Bluewatch Ventures, Odell Beckham Jr, Matthew Bellamy, Richard Ma, Varsha Rao, and Leore Avidar,.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.

Led by CEO Aaron Bai and CTO Sahil Phadnis, Pebble is a blockchain powered financial product that enables users to pay, save, spend, and send money. Users will also be rewarded with their unique loyalty points (called Pebbles) for everything they do.

In the coming months, the company will be working towards expansion into new markets along with shipping more features on their iOS and Android app.
