SiMA.ai, a San Jose, CA-based machine learning company, raised $30M in funding.
The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company with participation from Lip-Bu Tan, Founder and Chairman of Walden International, Founding Managing Partner of Celesta Capital and Walden Catalyst Ventures, who also joined the SimA.ai’s Board of Directors. He formerly served as Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., and now serves as Executive Chairman and has been a member of the Cadence Board of Directors since 2004. He currently serves on the Boards of Schneider Electric SE (SU: FP) and SoftBank Group (Japan: 9984.T).
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate scaling of the engineering and business teams globally.
Led by Krishna Rangasayee, Founder and CEO, SiMa.ai is a machine learning company delivering a software-centric, purpose-built MLSoC platform to enable ML deployment and scaling at the embedded edge, allowing customers to address any computer vision problem while achieving performance at the power.
