The LegalTech Fund, a Fort Lauderdale, FL-based venture capital firm, closed its fund focused on investing in companies transforming the world of law, at $28.5m.Ā 

TLTF received investment fromĀ Kapor Center Investments, innovative law firms such asĀ McDermott Will &Emery (McDermott)Ā andĀ Orrick, and technology companies such asĀ DocuSignĀ andĀ Carta.

Led by Zach Posner, General Partner & Co-Founder, TLTF invests in legal technology startup companies across the globe, focusing on software providers that target law firms, corporate legal departments and regulatory/compliance professionals. The firm has invested in thirty companies to date, focusing on startups that enable law firms, corporate legal departments, and companies that enable the broader regulatory ecosystem.Ā Typically, the fund provides initial investments of up to $1 million.Ā It leverages a community of investors and advisors who includes top law firms, legal service providers and leading technology companies.Ā 

TLTF has venture partners includingĀ Mike SuchslandĀ (former President of Thomson Reuters Legal Business) andĀ Bill MurphyĀ of Cresting Wave (former CTO of Blackstone).
