Goatlane, a Stockholm, Sweden-based D2C footwear brand for golf sneakers, raised €500K in Seed funding.
The round, which brings total funding to date to €800K, was led by Henrik Grundén and Juri Gendelman. Existing investors include: family office Muirfield Invest, the lead investor in Nasdaq-listed live-streaming giant Bambuser; PGA Tour golfer Henrik Norlander, who is involved in the development and design of the technical aspects of Goatlane’s products; and globally renowned DJ Otto Knows.
The company intends to use the funds to further boost its go to market efforts in the USA (where they launched ahead of the 2022 PGA season), product development and expansion of its sneaker range, as well as to extend its offering by entering into new product categories later this year.
Led by CEO Gustav Schauman, Goatlane is a D2C golf and street footwear brand whose product line combines PGA-level performance with street fashion. The shoes are handmade in Portugal with trademark Scandinavian design sophistication. The shoe bodies are made from waterproof soft calfskin leather from Italy, and the soles are part-made from recycled materials. All packaging, including its shoe bags and shoe boxes, are made from 100% recyclable materials.
Available via ecommerce across the USA and Europe, the products have been developed in partnership with PGA Tour and LPGA Tour professional golfers Henrik Norlander and Alana Uriell.
