Huntress, an Ellicott City, MD-based provider of a managed security platform for small and mid-market businesses (SMBs), acquired Curricula, an Atlanta, GA-based provider of a story-based security awareness training platform that empowers employees to defend themselves against hackers.
The amount of the deal was $22M.
With the acquisition, Huntress will grow its Managed Security Platform—delivered through an interactive eLearning experience that empowers employees to become their own line of defense in the fight against attackers.
Led by CEO Nick Santora, Curricula is a fun security awareness training platform that uses story-based learning to communicate cyber risk to employees. Its mission is to fix boring security awareness programs by empowering employees to defend themselves against hackers. In addition to its core platform, it offers a number of additional features to help businesses build a positively focused security culture–including a gamified phishing simulator, story-based training episodes, custom content creation tools, compliance reporting and more.
Led by CEO Kyle Hanslovan, Huntress protects small and mid-market businesses from persistent footholds, ransomware and other attacks via a managed security platform. Today, the company partners with more than 3,000 service providers that in turn protect more than 1.2 million endpoints across more than 68,000 businesses.
