Milk Moovement, a Halifax, NS-based cloud-based dairy supply chain software company, closed a $20m USD Series A funding.
The round was led by VMG Catalyst with participation from Richard Cargill and Ecolab.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and adoption of Milk Moovement among dairy businesses in North America.
Founded in 2018 by Jon King and Robert Forsythe, Milk Moovement is a dairy SaaS company that provides proprietary software that tracks all milk shipments and delivers real-time quality and quantity information to all dairy stakeholders. The company currently has a network of 2,500 dairy farms and over 5,000 users including global Fortune 100 CPG companies. It manages over 30 billion pounds of raw milk each year, which equates to about 15% of the U.S. dairy market.
The company currently employs 50 people across Canada and the United States.
