Hometainment, a London, UK-based provider of a home entertainment and hospitality platform, raised £400K in crowdfunding.
The round, which was run via Crowdcube, exceeded its minimum target of £350,000 with 200 investors and was overfunded by 11%, raising a total of £390,309. The platform had a pre-money valuation of £3,000,000.
The company intends to use the funds to scale in both London and abroad, as well as expand its offering of new experiences.
Led by Antoine Melon, Hometainment provides a platform for entertainment and hospitality at home – bringing to life experiences and interactive masterclasses from entertainers, private chefs, mixologists and event creators in the safety, privacy and comfort of a home. The company has had over 2300 guests served since June 2021. Hometainment has recently secured agreements with leading VIP concierge companies such as Quintessentially and Velocity Black, as well as high-end serviced apartment groups including Cheval Collection, Living Rooms and Greystar.
With over 25 years of experience in opening and running restaurants and hotels around the world, including Six Senses, Mandarin Oriental and Conran Restaurants, Antoine Melon is an expert in the art of hosting, or as he would say “L’Art de recevoir”. Since coming to London, he has put his global experience to use at Soho House and Artfarm (part of Hauser & Wirth art gallery).

“We are very proud to have completed and overfunded our Crowdcube campaign.
“To complete our crowdfunding after just a year of operation is a great achievement. It sanctions a year of hard work from all the people who have supported us and believed in us, especially our experts – the ‘HOMEtainers’.
“So a huge thank you to our investors, to our HOMEtainers, to our partners, advisors and our family & friends, you are the robust ecosystem which motivates and drives us on our journey to change the future of home entertainment and to bring back the magic of Hosting at Home, bringing together friends and family, enjoying memorable experiences in a safe and comfortable environment.”
