Edupia, a Hanoi, Vietnam-based edtech startup, raised $14M in Series A funding.
The round, which brings the total capital raised to $16M since inception, was led by Jungle Ventures with participation from eWTP Capital, and ThinkZone Ventures.
The company intends to use the funding for strengthening its tech stack, hiring across key positions, and regional expansion.
Founded in 2018 by Tran Duc Hung, Edupia provides an English learning platform to eliminate language-based inequalities and build a more globally competitive talent base. Its English-learning platform is targeted at kids under 6 as well as primary & secondary students.
Edupia currently has over 5,000,000 users in Vietnam, other SEAsian markets such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar, among other countries.
Going forward, there company will focus on products for K12 students and expand into other subjects such as Math, IT (Coding). Edupia also plans to innovate on new technology features and solutions and expand to Thailand, and Indonesia.
