Unravel Data, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a DataOps observability platform, raised $50M in Series D funding.

The round was led by Third Point Ventures, with participation from Bridge Bank, Menlo Ventures, Point 72, GGV Capital, and Harmony Capital, bringing the total amount of funding raised by Unravel Data to $107m. As part of the new funding, Curtis McKee, Partner at Third Point Ventures, will be joining Unravel Data’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate its business reach and development efforts.

Founded by Big Data pioneers Kunal Agarwal and Dr. Shivnath Babu, Unravel Data optimizes the performance and cost of modern data applications – and the complex data pipelines that power them via a DataOps observability platform that leverages AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to provide data teams with the actionable recommendations they need to turn data into insights. Some of the world’s most recognized brands like Adobe, 84.51 (a Kroger company), and Deutsche Bank use it to data-driven insights and deliver new innovations to market.
