Led by CEO Marc Coloma, Heura Foods is a plant-based food tech startup born in Barcelona. It creates solutions that accelerate the change to a world where our daily eating habits have a positive impact on humans, the planet and animals. While rooted in scientific discoveries and breakthrough technologies, the company innovations uphold the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean, including high nutritional density, positive climate impact and exceptional taste.
Already in Spain, Huera is expanding the plant-based category across Europe and beyond, including Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Netherlands, and United Kingdom.
Mid-year, it had reached €14.7 million in turnover, up from €7.6 million during this period last year. With its most successful first half of the year in its five-year history, Heura entered major retailers including Ocado in the UK, Migros in Switzerland, Carrefour in Italy, E.Leclerc, Intermarché and Super U in France, and more. New partnerships with major European retailers will be announced later in the year, as well as details on the company’s triple digit growth.
