Odyssey Interactive, a Waterloo, ON-based independent game development studio, raised $19M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Makers Fund, with participation from Anthos Capital, The Mini Fund, Andreesen Horowitz and Mitch Lasky.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.
Founded in 2020 by Dax Andrus, David Capurro, Eric Lawless, and Richard Henkel, Odyssey Interactive is an independent game development studio whose debut title Omega Strikers, a free-to-play competitive 3v3 knockout striker, has earned acclaim from players globally for its PC Open Beta which launched in September 2022. Odyssey is focused on fully launching Omega Strikers in February 2023 with native controls and full cross-play with cross-progression on PC, mobile devices and consoles.
