Quantum-Systems, a Munich, Germany-based developer, designer, and manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), raised an undisclosed amount in funding.
The round was led by Peter Thiel, Project A, and Sanno Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its R&D investment into artificial intelligence, autonomy, computing, and robotics, to pursue sales to meet demand across Europe for UAS, in sectors ranging from defence, to agriculture, to mining, to construction, to energy.
Led by Florian Seibel, CEO, Quantum-Systems provides electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) systems for a variety of use cases, including search and rescue operations after natural disasters, automated railway inspections after severe weather, and for aerial data intelligence on large-scale construction operations.
