Axtra3D, a Charlotte, NC-based developer and producer of innovative 3D printing machines, raised USD 6.25M in Series A funding.
The round was led by HZG Group, and Frank Carsten Herzog with participation from Steve Grundahl.
The company intends to use the funds to build processes and supply chains for the upcoming market entry as well as attract new talent to its offices in Italy and the US.
Led by CEO Gianni Zitelli, Axtra3D develops products for the additive manufacturing industry. The first product is Lumia X1 3D printer, which combines the two processes stereolithography (SLA) and digital light processing (DLP/LCD), between which customers previously had to choose.
