Carbon Reform, a Wilmington, DE-based startup building technology to reduce CO2, raised $3M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Azolla Ventures, with participation from Virya LLC, Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Plug and Play Ventures, Gaingels, and Preston Schell.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team, expand facilities, and install the first full-scale pilot units in commercial buildings.
Co-founded by Jo Norris and Nick Martin, Carbon Reform provides a modular retrofit device, the Carbon Capsule, that diverts and purifies return air from commercial buildings, removing CO2, volatile organic compounds, particulates, and pathogens, so the air can be safely recirculated to occupants. The Carbon Capsule integrates within existing HVAC systems.
