Surfboard, a London, UK-based team provider of a planning tool for customer service teams, raised $5M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Speedinvest, with participation from Fly Ventures, Seedcamp, Tokyo Black, Nomad Capital, Jag Singh and Foreword VC.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development, grow its team, and deepen integrations.
Founded by Natasha Ratanshi-Stein (CEO), Surfboard provides companies with collaborative planning software that connects disparate systems and data with the aim to make customer support activities more human by reducing burnout and increasing scheduling flexibility to match how people want to work.
In the last year, the company has focused on building integrations into ticketing, chat and telephony systems such as Aircall, Dixa, Intercom, Salesforce and Zendesk. In addition, Surfboard automatically pulls time-off information from HR systems such as Personio, Factorial, Bamboo, Hibob and Google Calendar, all to remove the friction of data sitting in different places.
