Teamraderie, a Los Altos, CA-based team-building software that leverages academic research, raised $7M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Founders Fund, with participation from Heroic Ventures, DashAngels, Moving Capital, and Overtime.vc.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by Michael McCarroll, co-founder & CEO, Teamraderie provides 45-minute, live virtual classes and other content led by experts across different categories used in team-building events. The company also offers a platform to manage the courses and run feedback on their impact.
Teamraderie leverages global experts to host experiences including:
- gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner;
- 2021 Pulitzer Prize winner Marcia Chatelain;
- Chess Grandmaster and former President of the Human Rights Foundation Garry Kasparov; and
- Celebrity fitness trainer Ramona Braganza.
The company serves approx. 200 customers in 50 countries including Google, IBM, Twitter, Cisco, Microsoft and Intuit among others.

To guide its product efforts, HR thought leader Josh Bersin is joining the Advisory Board, which already consists of renowned experts like Harvard Business School’s Frances Frei and Anne Morriss and Stanford’s Bob Sutton.
