Ukio

Ukio, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of a short-term rental platform focused on flexible workers, raised $28m in Series A funding.

The round, which included $17.6m in equity and $10.4m in debt, was led by Felix Capital, with participation from Kreos Capital, Heartcore, and Breega.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into cities such as Paris, Dublin, Milan, and London, hire new people and continue to advance its software with an automated monthly rental subscription tool and launch a b2b service for multinational businesses.

Co-Founded by Jeremy Fourteau and Stanley Fourteau, Ukio provides a platform that enables workers to select one among over 500 furnished apartments in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, and Berlin, and provides such services as gym memberships, cleaning, and events. Each flat comes with items coming from eco-friendly suppliers.
