Fashion Cloud, a Hamburg, Germany-based provider of solution for content and data exchange in the fashion-wholesale industry, raised €25M in funding.
The round was led by Verdane, with participation from Hearthland.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop established features like ‘content’ and ‘order’, which allow retailers to access marketing material and product data from more than 600 brands while also ordering articles with one click in the supplier’s brand shops, as well as to accelerate international expansion.
Led by Thomas Rasch and Alies ter Kuile, Fashion Cloud provides solutions for content and data exchange as well as digital pre- and reorder in the fashion-wholesale industry. The company offers a picture database for the fashion industry and furthermore creates transparency in ways of sustainability: Next to images, videos and product data, brands can also provide sustainability information like certifications and standards, which retailers can integrate into their web shop to help consumers to make the right buying decision.
Now more than 20,000 retailers and 600 brands are using FashionCloud’s platform. Customers include international retailers and brands like Zalando, Magasin du Nord, Hugo Boss and Scotch & Soda.
