Flapper, a Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil-based private aviation company for LatinAmerica, raised US$5.6M in Series A funding.
Backers included DXA, and Arien Invest.
The company, which has raised approx. US$9M in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to consolidate its market position in LatinAmerica.
Led by Paul Malicki, CEO, Flapper provides aerial mobility solutions to deliver an improved flight experience via jets, turbo-props and helicopters. The company leverages proprietary inventory and technology, combined with international experience, and numerous partnerships signed with companies such as Embraer and Electra.
Flapper now has 350,000 users of its app, mostly from Latin America. Today, Flapper is present in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, as well as Florida (USA) and Portugal (EU).
