smoodi, a Boston, MA-based food tech company, raised $5M in Series A funding.
The backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to satisfy the demand for their products and open up national distribution channels as well as new market verticals.
founded in 2018 by Pascal Kriesche and Morgan Abraham, smoodi creates a robotic smart blender that allows convenience stores, offices, restaurants, and other retailers to offer 100% natural, vegan smoothies with no sugar added and no operator required. Launched out of Harvard’s Innovation Lab, smoodi is already available in many convenience store chains in the country.
The company has also recently announced their partnership with Dot Foods, the largest food industry redistribution company in North America.
