Suraasa, an Indian skill-tech and career-tech startup, raised $1.2M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from NB Ventures, SuperMorpheus, Vinners and SucSEED Innovation, as well as Manan Khurma (Founder & CEO, Cuemath), Kunal Shah (Founder, Cred), Kiran Karunakaran (Partner, Bain & Co), Anuj Saraiwala (Partner, Elluminate Ventures).

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.

Founded by Rishabh Khanna (CEO, Cognitive scientist, and recognised expert in the global teacher education sector), Ankit Khanna (CTO) NIT alumni, ex-Smart Cubes), and Sahil Makker (Chief Strategy Officer, INSEAD & Thapar alumni, ex-Booz Allen), Suraasa a skill-tech startup focussed on preparing teachers for national and international career opportunities by upskilling them. Its team has onboarded over 150,000 teachers on its platform from 50+ nationalities. The pedagogy-led teacher education programs offered by Suraasa are in alignment with India’s NEP 2020 and have imbibed various countries’ latest teaching standards, allowing teachers to prepare themselves for modern-day global classrooms with diverse sets of students.
