Alicia, a Rotterdam, The Netherlands-based provider of insurance-as-a-service for freelancers, reportedly raised €7M in Seed funding.
The round was joined by Volta Ventures, Randstad Innovation Fund, and Achmea Innovation Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in some European countries in 2023, grow the product portfolio, and continue to develop its technology.
Led by CEO Marijn Moerman, Alicia offers personalized and pay-per-use insurance for freelancers directly embedded into online platforms. In addition to the Netherlands, the solution is offered in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK.
