Lumera, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software company dedicated to the digital transformation of the European Life and Pensions industry, acquired AxyWare, an Utrecht, Netherlands-based systems provider to Dutch pension funds, to Dutch pension funds, pension fund administrators, and life insurers.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the deal, Lumera strengthens its commitment to the Dutch Life and Pensions market. AxyWare will be integrated with Lumera’s organization in the local subsidiary Lumera BV.
Led by CEO Jeroen Elbertse, AxyWare is a full-service provider of administration and communication systems for pension funds and insurers. Customers use its policy management solutions to improve their business agility, while reducing complexity, risks and costs. The privately held company has 30 employees.
Led by CEO Mats Lillienberg, Lumera is dedicated to introducing AI-powered automation and business analytics to policy administration by combining cloud-native policy administration platform with deep domain expertise. From the outset in the early 2000s, the company has built solutions for Nordic insurers which facilitate transition from Defined Benefit (DB) to Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans.
