Supernormal, a Stockholm, Sweden and NYC-based provider of a generative AI note-taking platform for business communication, raised $10M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Balderton Capital, with participation from EQT Ventures, Acequia Capital and byFounders.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the team and develop the AI platform.
Founded by Fabian Perez and Colin Treseler, Supernormal is building foundational data through AI-powered meeting notes. By embedding into Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, Supernormal automatically creates notes and actions after a meeting ends, featuring all the relevant key points so people can spend less time on admin and more time on decision-making. Supernormal instantly generates detailed meeting notes depending on the type of call, extracting key details like customer objectives, goals, key decisions and action items within two seconds. After the meeting, the platform continues to deliver productivity gains by automating routine action items like follow-up emails, scheduling, and making introductions.
50,000 professionals at organisations including Github, Netflix, Salesforce and The Next Web are currently using the platform.
Commenting on the news, Colin Treseler said: “Our conversations are the center of our work product yet are predominantly ephemeral and rely on diligent use of pen and paper. We have just scratched the surface on an entirely new class of actionable meeting data and Supernormal is unlocking insights and better outcomes across entire organizations. We’re delighted by the reception so far to Supernormal and look forward to working closely with Balderton and our other investors to deliver next-generation solutions on such a pivotal source of information.”
