Strider, a New York-based provider of a collaborative storytelling platform, raised $5.5M in Seed funding.
The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $8.5M, was led by Makers Fund and Fabric Ventures, with participation from Shima Capital, Sfermion, Magic Eden.
The company intends to use the funds to to expand the team and bring content creators onto the platform with tools for production and distribution.
Founded by Andrew Green (CEO), Michael Brozman, Michael Cala and Nick Braccia, Strider is a collaborative storytelling platform that brings creative communities and fans together to co-create, invest in and develop entertainment products with the community. People will be empowered to collaborate on a storyworld’s characters, settings, and history. Strider also aims to give creatives the power to be the owners of their own creations, giving contributors opportunities to retain ownership as they build alongside the community.
The team has deep roots in narrative games and world-class entertainment IP, including Harry Potter, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Westworld, Dead Space, MARVEL Avengers, Watchmen and Futurama.
