Hirebotics, a Nashville, Tennessee-based automation company that has created a collaborative robot solution designed specifically for welding applications, received an investment from Sverica Capital Management.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Sverica’s strategic investment is intended to facilitate the company’s realization of its full-potential within the welding automation market and expansion into new markets.
Founded in 2015 by Rob Goldiez and Matt Bush, then later joined by Zach Boyd, Hirebotics has developed the Cobot Welder, a product that combines premium welding equipment and a robotic arm with proprietary software to help address an acute shortage of skilled welding technicians. Its “cobot” solution is controlled using a cloud-based software application, Beacon, with support for applications, remote monitoring, and 24/7 global support functionality. In addition to direct sales, the company maintains key industry partnerships with leading manufacturers and distributors of welding equipment to extend its market reach.
