Turntable Live, a Miami, FL-based provider of a social music platform, raised +$7M in funding.
The round was led by Founders Fund and f7 Ventures, with participation from angel investors such as Michael Guimarin.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts to realize his original vision for the viral concept.
Created by Joseph Perla, Turntable Live is a social music platform that allows music fans, coworkers, and other communities to gather, DJ together, and interact in a playful virtual setting. The latest iteration will incorporate new features for launch including voice chat, global licensing, and mobile apps on iOS and Android that improve on the basic premise, making it easy for music lovers, artists, entertainers, and influencers to play music and hang out together with friends, creators, colleagues, and cool folks.
On the dev side, in addition to genre- and scene-themed rooms, the company plans to launch creator-driven rooms, where anyone can add an extra musical dimension to an audio or text conversation.
Fans can sign up to get onto the waitlist on TurntableLIVE.com for its invite-only beta, with full public launch coming later in 2023.
