Chiefy, a New York-based provider of a cloud platform that helps surgical teams embed quality and communication best practices, raised $4.2M in Seed funding.
The round was led by LionBird, with participation from Nina Capital and Emerge Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate and expand product development and customer acquisition.
Led by CEO Maya Ber Lerner, Chiefy helps surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other surgical stakeholders sustain practices like pre-op huddles, checklists, surgical protocols, debrief and feedback loops. Its SaaS based surgical team collaboration platform provides surgical teams with fast and efficient coordination and collaboration tools from pre-op to post-op, while automating administrative tasks.
The system is HIPAA compliant and does not require EMR integration.
