Engin Sciences, a New York-based AI-powered recruitment software startup, raised $2.5M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Gotham Green Partners. Others investors included The London Fund, JourneyOne Ventures, David Belsky of FlowerHire, and Peter Flint, who will also join the Board.
The company intends to use the funds to ramp up sales and marketing efforts targeting enterprise customers, launch innovative AI-powered features, and expand offerings to cater to the cannabis sector and other emerging markets.
Led by co-founders Sloane Barbour and Dr. Valerie Fraysse, engin is a recruitment software company that enables companies in emerging industries to build workforces. While the company is currently focused on the cannabis industry, it plans to expand into other sectors with similar challenges recruiting and retaining entry level and frontline workers, including other areas of sustainable agriculture, clean-tech, hospitality, omnichannel retail, psychedelic medicine, and artificial intelligence.
Brands such as Columbia Care, Stiiizy, and Etain already utilize its platform to elevate their employer brand, distribute job listings, and connect candidates with positions that match their skills and experience.
