Hawkr, a London, UK-based provider of a digital live music merchandising space platform, raised £260K in Seed funding.
The round was led by Jenson Funding Partners and other investors.
The company intends to use the funds to advance the development of its platform and data-driven solution with a pipeline of new innovative features, while continuing to build out its partnership network within the music industry.
Co-founded by Jamie Monson and Les Seddon-Brown, Hawkr is a digital platform that makes buying and selling merchandise at live music events more accessible, profitable, and sustainable, streamlining the process for artists and fans. The company uses a print-on-demand technology and direct-to-consumer sales, through a marketplace model, that replaces the current live merch process.
150 artists are currently on the platform. Hawkr is also currently partnered with several notable industry organisations and groups, including Marshall Amps, the Featured Artists Coalition, and Brian Eno’s music eco charity Earth/Percent.
