Quantica, a Berlin, Germany-based UK-based multi-material 3D printing company, closed a EUR14m Series A financing round.
The round was led by a family office with participation from byFounders and Scale Capital, as well as senior employees and management. An additional EUR4m will be obtained based on certain milestones to be met.
The company intends to use the funds to further advance the first products based on its NovoJet multi-material inkjet technology and expand its marketing efforts and operations.
Led by Claus Moseholm, CEO, Quantica is manufacturing NovoJet™ C-7, its first Desktop Printer equipped with 7 NovoJet™ printheads. The system, which will be released as an open development platform, will enable organizations and research institutes to develop functional, multi-material 2D and 3D applications based on its ultra-high viscosity jetting technology.
The system can print 3D parts with up to 7 different materials in one single process.
