Exum Instruments, a Denver, CO and Albuquerque, NM-based scientific instruments company, received an investment from FortySix Venture Capital.
The amount of the deal – part of the series A round – was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance operations by generating 25-30 high-tech jobs in Tulsa, and to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.
Led by CEO Jeff Williams, Exum Instruments is a scientific instrumentation company building instruments and software ecosystems to increase the speed of materials development and discovery, offering access to high performance at a low cost. Its first instrument, The Massbox, is a Laser Ablation Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (LALI-TOF-MS), capable of analyzing any sample users can throw at it.
