Prewave, a Vienna, Austria-based provider of an AI-first solution for supply chain risk management, raised €18M in Series A+ funding.
The round was led by Creandum with participation from Ventech, Kompas, aws and Segnalita.
The company intends to use the funds to expand their sales team, bringing in top C-Level talent, and continue product development and spread further across Europe.
founded in 2017 by Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger as a spin-off from Vienna University of Technology, Prewave provides a platform that identifies, analyzes, mitigates, and reports risks, ensuring a complete approach for a transparent, and sustainable supply chain, encompassing all aspects of the lifecycle. By scanning millions of sources in over 50 languages including social media, local news and RSS feeds using AI and NLP, Prewave can discover disruptions, track raw material supplies and predict problems.
The product is already used by customers from various industries including VW, Audi, PwC, Lufthansa, and Siemens.
The company had raised €11m in Series A in September 2022.
