3STEP Sports, an Andover, MA-based youth sports club and event operator, acquired US Officials, a provider of a hub for soccer event operators, assigners and officials.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, 3STEP will add a new and integral resource to its expanding soccer division.
Founded in 2008 by Paul Athanasiadis and Levon Akoghlanian, US Officials is a hub for soccer event operators, assigners and officials. Started as a website designed to offer a low-cost platform to assign referees to games, it has turned into a network of 6,000+ officials with multiple local and national events on any given weekend. It currently partners with more than 50 soccer event operators, serving the majority of New England’s youth and adult soccer leagues. It also offer Referee Mentoring and Professional Development opportunities to help enhance the game day experience for referees, clubs, teams, players and families.
Led by CEO Tania King, 3STEP Sports is providing access to coaching, nationally-ranked events, facilities and premier media content to all athletes.
