Agile Space Industries, a Durango, CO-based in-space propulsion solution provider, raised $13M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Caruso Ventures and included Greater Colorado Venture Fund (GCVF), Cori Innovation Fund and Greenline Ventures, with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures. Agile, which did not disclose the valuation of the round, has now raised in excess of $18M.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance its production operations and meet the needs of multiple customers for lunar landing missions.
Led by CEO Chris Pearson, Agile Space Industries is an in-space propulsion solution provider, specializing in hypergolic chemical systems. Rapid prototyping, development, qualification, and delivery is catalyzed by in-house additive manufacturing and engine test capability. The company employs more than 65 people between facilities in Durango, Colorado and Mount Pleasant, PA that specialize in component, system development, test and additive manufacturing. Agile is working with compaines as well as the US Government on various spacecraft and launch vehicle propulsion projects.
Towards the end of this year, the company expects to launch a Series-A round to allow larger scale up of production operations required to meet customer demand.
