Foodomarket, a Paris, France-based B2B food marketplace for the hospitality industry, raised £9.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Alven Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to launch in the UK and the US, to continue to develop its app and website, and hire new people in local markets.
Co-founded by Eric Nivoix and Matthieu Boivent, Foodomarket is a platform that allows restaurants and other food professionals to compare and optimize their purchases in every category including fish and seafood, drink, diary, delicatessen, grocery, meat and poultry. The solution features continuous price monitoring, online payment tools, after sales service from suppliers and the company itself.
