Metal, a New York-based LLM developer platform provider, raised USD2.5M in funding.
The round was led by Swift Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and Chapter One.
The company intends to use the funds to support its open-source work and the developer community.
Co-founded by Sergio Prada, James O’Dwyer, and Taylor Lowe, Metal is a developer platform that helps engineers build and deploy machine learning applications. Its fully managed service handles data transformation, indexing, and storage. It provides APIs and developer-friendly tools that let users query and consume data, semantic search and data to power LLM chatbots, and observability into application’s usage and performance to help developers learn and iterate quickly.
