Ovi Hamama and Kfir Kachlon have officially launched 91 Ventures, a $30M fund with the purpose of investing in Israeli startups through pre-seed and seed rounds.
The fund has raised half of its funding from private investors and is actively working towards completing the final fundraising round. The fund’s LP’s come from varied backgrounds, including business professionals, family-office investors, and leading tech entrepreneurs.
The fund is focused on backing and supporting outlier entrepreneurs, who bring innovative approaches to their respective fields, offering sophisticated software solutions, technology, and demonstrating significant market potential. While the vehicle primarily targets Israeli entrepreneurs, it is open to exploring promising opportunities from other regions.
Ovi Hamama is a veteran early-stage investor. His track record includes early investments in eToro, NanoRep, Inneractive, and YouAppi.
Kfir Kachlon, formerly a senior member on OurCrowd’s investments team, has led numerous deals with technology-rich startups. His previous investments include companies like BlueNalu, Ludeo, and Kahoona.
