Selva Ventures Closes Second Fund, at $34M

Selva Ventures, a Los Angeles, CA-based venture capital firm dedicated to partnering with consumer brands that promote healthier living, closed its second fund, at $34m.

The fund received backing from Unilever Ventures, PagsGroup and Obelysk, and a number of investors across the consumer products and professional sports industries.

The vehicle will continue to invest in emerging companies across health, wellness, beauty and personal care. The firm focuses on Seed and Series A startups with proven early momentum, and supports their traction with capital and resources across finance, operations and retail partnerships.

Launched in 2019 with a $10 million first fund, Selva Ventures has invested in such brands as MUD\WTR (coffee alternative), Native Pet (pet supplements), Mid-Day Squares (functional chocolate) and Cake (sexual wellness). The portfolio also includes Nowadays (clean plant-based protein), Kinship (sustainable clean skincare), OneSkin (longevity skincare) and Crown Affair (clean, luxury haircare).

Led by Kiva Dickinson, Founder and Managing Partner, Madeline Kaplan, Principal, the firm currently manages approximately $50 million in assets.
