Trust Lab, a Palo Alto, CA-based company focused on safeguarding Internet users, raised $15M in Series A funding.

The round was led by U.S. Venture Partners and Foundation Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO Tom Siegel, Trust Lab offers a technology platform that detects and monitors harmful content and actors using AI-enabled classifiers and rules engines. Using it, technology companies and public entities can track and measure harmful content across the entire Internet. The majority of the social media companies use its tools and services, as do marketplaces, messaging companies, as well as content hosting services of different sites. Trust Labs also works with both the U.S. Government and the European Union to protect free speech online while suppressing harmful content.

Customers include the European Commission/European Union and In-Q-Tel, and many leading social media companies, messaging platforms, and marketplaces.
