Modives, a Charlotte, NC-based insurtech startup, raised $3m in seed funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO and Co-Founder Frederick Waite, Modives provides a life event platform for property managers and auto dealers to automate insurance verification. The patent-pending platform verifies auto buyer and property renter insurance, eliminating time wasted on manual processes.

Joining Waite on the leadership team are four insurance executives with years of experience across several key areas of the industry:
