Speakeasy, a San Francisco, CA- and London, UK-based API infrastructure company, raised $7.6M in Seed funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $11M, was led by GV with participation from Quiet Capital, Firestreak Ventures, Flex Capital and StoryHouse Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to invest further in its platform and to grow its go-to-market team.
Led by CEO Sagar Batchu and CPO Simon Yu, Speakeasy is an API infrastructure company, which allows developers to generate all the critical interfaces that ease integration with an API – from native language client SDKs, HashiCorp Terraform Providers and CLIs to LLM Agents that enable natural language API access. Speakeasy also enables API producers to offer advanced self-service capabilities to end users, such as authentication, request replay and capture and API schema insight and evolution. The company is launching two products on its platform:
- Managed SDKs to manage the entire SDK creation workflow using AI to validate and enhance the spec, create SDKs in the most popular languages, and publishe automatically to package managers.
- Terraform Provider Generation: HashiCorp’s Terraform is an open source tool that lets developers define and manage infrastructure as code. API producers can create and maintain Terraform providers from an OpenAPI specification. Terraform Provider Generation is in beta today.
