BrainLogic AI, a Montevideo, Uruguay-based tech company advancing Zapia, a WhatsApp AI assistant specifically designed for Latin America, raised $5m in funding.
The round was led by Factory HQ.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Martín Alcalá Rubí, and COO Juan Pereira, BrainLogic AI is advancing Zapia, a WhatsApp AI assistant which empowers users to find updated information about their city, find prices for local products and services, stay informed with daily news, and transcribe audio messages.
The service is already available for a limited number of people for free at zapia.com and will subsequently be available via a wait list. In the future, Zapia will empower Latin Americans to accomplish real-world tasks such as purchasing products and services, making reservations, and more.
