FantasyLife, a New York-based fantasy sports and sports betting media company, raised $2M in Friends and Family funding.

Backers included Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Roger Ehrenberg, Austin Ekeler, Chris Grove, Tony Khan, LRMR Ventures, John Legend, Kip Levin, George Pyne, Alec Scheiner, Casey Wasserman and Jason Stein.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Founded by Matthew Berry and led by CEO Eliot Crist, Fantasy Life (named after Berry’s New York Times Best-Selling book) began as a daily email newsletter informing over 350,000 subscribers about fantasy and sports betting. Later, the company launched FantasyLife.com, a website with over two million monthly visitors, that offers free tools and content like Projections, Free NFL Bets, Prop Tables, a suite of Data Tools, the Best Ball Hub, NFL Player and Team Pages, and a new fantasy league punishment generator.
